Mulligan’s Gaming Pub has new and exciting news as we are back in business after closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This weekend is the prerelease weekend for Magic: The Gathering’s new set, Core Set 2021! Here are all the details.

Mulligan’s Gaming Pub will be hosting seven Core Set 2021 Prerelease events. Here’s the complete rundown:
- Friday at 3 p.m. and Friday Night Magic at 7 p.m.
- Midnight is the traditional Sealed Prerelease. Food will be provided.
- Saturday at 11 a.m. is a Two-Headed Giant Prerelease, followed by a Sealed Prerelease at 5 p.m.
- Sunday at Noon and 4 p.m., there will be two more Sealed Events
Capacity is limited for each event due to social distancing. Players are encouraged to prepay for their kit and reserve their spot by contacting Mulligan’s by calling (423) 406-1580, emailing mulligansgamingpub@gmail.com, contacting us on Facebook or on our Discord server.
Prize Support
As with most competitive Magic events, prize support will be given to the top cut of each event during the weekend based upon the attendance. Two booster packs of Core Set 2021 will be added to each prize pool—not to mention loads of prerelease exclusive giveaways, and door prizes throughout the weekend. However, If you’re looking to pick up a Rin and Seri, Inseparable, you’ll only get this gem if you pre-order a Core 2021 Booster box.
Pricing and Bundling
As per usual, a prerelease event at Mulligan’s Gaming Pub costs $25. However, we’re offering three tantalizing bundles:
The Mulligan’s Special – Sign up for three events of your choosing for $65.00. If you get this special and would also like to pre-order a box of Core Set 2021; then you will get the box for $95.00 after tax.
The Weekend Pass – Entry into all seven events for $125.00. You also will be able to pre-order boxes for just $90.00 after tax.
The Ultimate Bundle (limit of 8) – In addition to everything offered in the Weekend Pass, you get non-art Matte Dragon Shield sleeves, 1 Ultimate Guard Boulder 100-plus-card deck box, 1 set of six-sided 16mm Oakie Doakie dice, and your choice of any play-mat valued at $21.99 or less, all for just $175. You will also be able to pre-order boxes for just $90.00 after tax.
We will also be taking pre-orders on Core Set 2021 boxes, for those not quite ready to venture back into in-store gaming. Our preorder is priced as follows:
- Pre-Order Booster Box: $105, tax included
- PreRelease Event with a Booster Box $25 + $100 (tax included)
- Collector’s Boxes (4 rares per pack): $220

Because there are limited supplies of everything during the prerelease weekend, all orders will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
