Are you an EDH fanatic, or just a Magic player looking to try a new format? Either way. we’ve got the event for you.

Tomorrow, October 23, Mulligan’s Gaming Pub is having our Innistrad Midnight Hunt Commander event at our store, located at 308 East Main Street in Johnson City, TN.

To find out all of the details about the Innistrad Midnight Hunt Commander, read on to learn the following:

• The Important Facts (costs, start time, etc)

• Special Commander Rules

• Proxies Rules

What you need to know …

It all starts tomorrow, October 23, at 1 p.m. We ask you to arrive early if you haven’t already registered your proxies with a staff member.  If you already have your proxy cards registered on our spreadsheet, then all you need to do is pay the $25 entry fee. If you’ve paid in advance and registered your proxies, then just make sure you’re there by start time.

Rounds will be run in pods of 3-4 players, with pod size based on attendance. As always, the first round will be determined at random. Subsequent rounds of play will be determined by points for standing in each pod. In the event of a tie for points in a pod’s final spot, those tied players will play an additional pod to determine who fills the last spots.

Let’s talk prize support.

As a bonus, for every five players after the initial 20 places in the event are filled, Mulligan’s Gaming Pub will add an additional draft box of Innistrad Midnight Hunt to the prize pool below. And if at least 20 players participate, then the top four will have their player’s table fees waived at Mulligan’s for the rest of the year.

Those are just the bonuses though. The base prize support breaks down as follows:

First place receives a collector’s box of Midnight Hunt

Second place receives half of a set booster box of Midnight Hunt

Third and fourth receive one-quarter of a set booster box of Midnight Hunt

Special Commander Rules

We have one specific rule for this event: Your commander has to be printed or reprinted in Innistrad Midnight Hunt or the Innistrad Midnight Hunt Commander set. Any card in the set is an option, but here are the top ten Commander cards we expect to see:

1. Leinore, Autumn Sovereign

2. Ludevic, Necrogenius

3. Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver

4. Lier, Disciple of the Drowned

5. Jarren, Corrupted Bishop

6. Katilda, Dawnhart Prime

7. Liesa, Forgotten Archangel

8. Rem Karolus, Stalwart Slayer

9. Adeline, Resplendent Cathar

10. Slogurk, the Overslime

Proxy Rules

First and foremost, you will be allowed to use gold-bordered cards. However, you may not use silver border cards. You do not need proxies for gold border cards, but you do need to make sure you cannot see your gold borders through your card sleeves.

While proxies will be allowed at this event, there will be some rules. You may only have proxies for high-value cards that you don’t want to shuffle but already own. That means you need to bring physical proof of ownership, if you haven’t already, to Mulligan’s Gaming Pub to be registered by one of our staff members. We will keep this information on a spreadsheet to prevent human error or confusion about provided proof.

Ready your 100-card decks for a fantastic day of spell-slinging. We can’t wait to see you in Johnson City at Mulligan’s Gaming Pub for the Innistrad Midnight Hunt Commander Event tomorrow at 308 East Main Street in Johnson City, TN. Contact us by phone at (423) 406-1580 if you have any questions about this or any of our other Magic: The Gathering events.
